SPELLING BEE COMPETITION

«The English Department held a Spelling Bee competition with students from 3rd grade A, 3ºB, 4ºA, and 4ºB elementary level on June 9th. This activity took place in the school library with the presence of head teachers of each class together with students belonging to the previously mentioned classes to support and encourage their peers in the competition.

The winners in each level were 3°grade A and 4° grade A respectively.

The Spelling Bee competition ended with the members of each class receiving a medal, and thanks from the organisation of the English Department for their participation and commitment to attending this event.

It is important to emphasize the relevance of this activity, not only as a significant part for the development of their intellectual abilities. The valuable learning outcome of spelling bee results in the children gaining competency over vocabulary, and this allows them to excel at reading and writing. The ability to understand more words allows children to become literate and enjoy reading an extensive range of material, as well as it is also an opportunity to provide tools for the socialization of each of the students in the community.

As a department, we invite you to appreciate the pictures of the activity, along with the joy shown in each of the faces of its participants.
