4th Grade Students Bring “Diversicus” to Life at Colegio Concepción

Our 4th grade A students brought creativity, imagination, and teamwork to the stage with a special performance inspired by Diversicus, the traveling circus that appears throughout Be Curious, the English textbook used in our lessons at Colegio Concepción. In the book, Diversicus travels around the world, but it had never visited Chile… until now.
All of this work took place during their English lessons, where students developed the project step by step under the guidance of their English teacher, Mr. Marcos Riveros. What began as a classroom idea quickly grew into a full creative production.
To bring this idea to life, the class worked together to create their own version of Diversicus, adapting its spirit into a show designed entirely by the students. They imagined that the circus had finally arrived at Colegio Concepción, Chile, and from there, the project took off with remarkable energy and enthusiasm.
The students developed a complete circus program, featuring a wide variety of acts:
● Presenters and hosts
● Magicians
● Clowns
● Aerobics and acrobatics
● A theatre play
● A staged “fighting” performance
● Dance act
● A singing act
● Backstage crew
Every student took part in the production, whether performing on stage or working behind the scenes. They organised themselves, coordinated each number, rehearsed their roles, and even created their own theatrical script, all in English and with an impressive level of commitment.
The final presentation took place in our school auditorium, where the students had the opportunity to share their work with an audience. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, creativity, and joy as the children brought their circus to life, demonstrating not only their artistic talents but also their ability to collaborate, plan, and express themselves confidently.
This project reflects the value of offering real English experiences to our students, experiences where language becomes a tool for creativity, communication, and collective achievement. We congratulate our 4th grade A class for this wonderful performance and thank the families and teachers who supported this memorable initiative.
