Last Monday, August 12th, our students engaged in a fantastic «Gaming and English» workshop that combined creativity, competition, and language learning. This workshop, held every Monday, is designed to make English practice both fun and effective through interactive activities.
A Fun Learning Experience
During this session, the students participated in a task-based learning activity where they crafted colourful caterpillars from colour paste-board. The process involved designing and assembling their caterpillars, which added a personal touch to the game. The highlight of the day was the caterpillar race, where students put their creations to the test in an exciting competition.
The workshop was conducted entirely in English, providing an immersive environment for the students. By engaging in hands-on activities and playful competition, they not only practised their English skills but also enjoyed a creative and dynamic learning experience. The task-based approach allowed them to use language in a meaningful context, making the learning process more impactful.
Creating Impact Through Play
Creating their caterpillars from scratch made the race even more thrilling and memorable for the students. The combination of building something unique and then competing with it added a special element to the workshop, reinforcing the value of creativity and teamwork while practising English.
