This week marked the exciting launch of a new unit developed in collaboration between our extracurricular ICT and Ecobrigada workshops. Guided by the principles of cross-curricular innovation, the project invites students from the ICT workshop to design digital educational resources inspired by the work they carry out with the Ecobrigada, combining creativity, sustainability, and technology.
To begin this journey, students came together in a very special activity: the preparation of crêpes. But this was not just about cooking — it was about learning to plan, collaborate, and apply sustainable practices in a hands-on way. Following the principles of Smart Cooking Techniques and Meal Planning, our students worked collectively under a collective catering model. Each student took on a role, ensuring the process was organised, efficient, and respectful of resources. They carefully measured the ingredients, mixed, cooked, and optimised their time in the kitchen, showing that responsibility and teamwork can go hand in hand with creativity and fun.
As always, innovation was at the heart of the experience. The ICT students will later transform this practice into digital resources — a recipe book enriched with infographics, visual guides, and interactive materials — to spread the message of responsible cooking and sustainable living beyond the classroom.
One of the most memorable moments came when the first eleven crêpes prepared were dedicated to our school’s cleaning staff as a small gesture of gratitude for their daily work. This act of recognition made the experience even more meaningful, reminding everyone that learning is not only about skills and knowledge, but also about values and community spirit.
The launch of this unit reaffirms our school’s commitment to an integral education that links theory with practice, encourages sustainability, and prepares our students to face the challenges of the 21st century. With ICT and Ecobrigada working side by side, we are shaping learning experiences that are immersive, collaborative, and impactful.
Stay tuned to see how this project continues to unfold — the recipe book and other digital creations are coming soon!
