A Fun-Filled Storytelling Session: «The Last Dinosaur Egg» Sparks Imaginations at the Parvulario

On Thursday, July 31st, despite the rainy weather, our Early Childhood Education students at Colegio Concepción were treated to a magical storytelling session featuring The Last Dinosaur Egg by Andrew Hegeman. This session, held at the Parvulario (Early Childhood Education building), was the second day in a row of storytelling activities aimed at promoting literature and storytelling as part of the English Immersion Program’s ongoing efforts.
Students from Medio Mayor, Pre-Kinder, and Kinder eagerly listened to the story, diving into the imaginative world where a young boy discovers a mysterious, unhatched dinosaur egg. As the adventure unfolded, the young listeners explored themes of discovery, curiosity, and the importance of preserving nature. The story is beautifully tied into the values of exploration and environmental care, which are integral to the development of our students.
The session was made even more special by the enthusiastic readings of Mariana González, Antonia González, and Benjamin Sáez, students from higher levels, who brought the story to life with their dynamic voices. Their engaging performance made the experience interactive, ensuring that the younger students were fully captivated by the tale.
As part of the English Immersion Program’s ongoing effort to foster a love for literature and language, this session followed the previous day’s storytelling activity. Together, these two days of storytelling allowed students to engage in English in a fun and educational way, strengthening their language skills while enjoying the world of literature.
We are excited to continue promoting storytelling and literature through these monthly sessions and look forward to more opportunities to inspire our young learners!
