On Tuesday May 27th, our 3rd and 4th grade high school students had the exciting opportunity to attend a special presentation by representatives from the University of Idaho, USA. The session, titled under their inspiring slogan “American Language and Culture Program: Brave, Bold, Unstoppable,” was designed to introduce our students to the possibility of studying and living in the United States.
Led by Mr. Nelson Carrizo and Ms. Blanca Vida from the University’s Department of International Admissions, the presentation offered a closer look at undergraduate programs, student life in Idaho, and the many academic paths available at this prestigious institution. The visit was made possible thanks to the coordination of Mr. Fernando Silva, Educational Adviser from Education USA.
Throughout the session, students explored the diverse range of majors available across the university’s faculties — from Agricultural and Life Sciences, Art and Architecture, Business and Economics, to Engineering, Education, Health and Human Sciences, Natural Resources, and more. The presenters also explained the steps involved in applying, visa requirements, and the scholarship opportunities that make studying abroad more accessible.
More than just an informational talk, this event sparked curiosity and dreams, as students asked thoughtful questions about the academic experience and everyday life in the United States. It was a meaningful space for imagining their futures and considering how global education could play a role in their goals.
We extend our sincere thanks to the University of Idaho and Education USA for bringing this valuable opportunity to our school community. If you’d like to learn more about the university, feel free to explore their official site: https://www.uidaho.edu
