Live Music and Shakespeare: A Magical Morning at The Parvulario

On Tuesday, April 22nd, our Early Childhood Education Library was filled with music, laughter, and imagination. As part of our World Book Day celebrations, all the children from the Early childhood education department from Medio Mayor to 2nd elementary level enjoyed a special English storytelling session of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare—accompanied by live music!
Organised by the English Immersion Plan, this activity brought a classic Elizabethan tale to life in a way that was playful, accessible, and full of joy. The story, adapted specially for young learners, followed the magical adventures of fairies and humans in the forest—and our Flashcards helped the children follow along with curiosity and delight.
The magic didn’t stop there! Ms. Verónica Cofré, together with her talented students from the 2nd-grade high school music elective, filled the space with live melodies that made the story even more vibrant. The music not only complemented the storytelling, but also brought culture into the classroom—introducing our youngest learners to the world of Shakespeare in a way that was both fun and meaningful.
It was a beautiful morning of connection between older and younger students, where literature, music, and English came together to create memories we won’t soon forget.
