A Coconut Delight: Little Chef’s Culinary Adventure!

In a recent session of the «Little Chef: A Culinary Adventure» workshop, our 1st grade Elementary students dove into a sweet culinary experience guided by their cooking teacher, Mr. Marcos Riveros. This time, the young chefs got hands-on with a classic and delicious treat: Cocadas!
Whipping Up Coconut Magic
The students eagerly gathered around to create their Cocadas using a simple yet flavourful recipe:
Ingredients:
● Biscuit crumbs
● Manjar
● Grated coconut
● Vanilla extract
● A pinch of orange zest
Preparation: The students mixed the biscuit crumbs with manjar, forming a rich and sweet base. With a touch of vanilla extract and the zesty flavour of orange, they shaped the mixture into small, bite-sized balls and rolled them in grated coconut.
A Sweet Learning Experience
This fun and educational activity allowed our young chefs to develop their cooking skills while also practising English, as the entire workshop is conducted in English. It was a perfect blend of learning and fun, with students taking pride in their culinary creations.
