Students Participate in Plastic Cap Collection Initiative

With the objective of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging responsible waste management practices, the Student Council (CEAL) of Colegio Concepción, together with the Ecobrigade and ICT workshops, organized a plastic cap collection activity involving students from Medio Mayor through Cuarto Medio.
Over the course of the campaign, members of the school community were invited to collect plastic caps and contribute them to the initiative. The materials gathered were subsequently measured and recorded by students responsible for coordinating the activity, allowing participants to quantify the results of the collective effort.
The activity was designed as an opportunity for students to engage with environmental issues through a practical experience. By participating in the collection process, students were encouraged to consider the importance of recycling and the role that individual actions can play in reducing the volume of waste generated in daily life.
In addition to its environmental focus, the initiative promoted collaboration among students of different grade levels and provided an example of how school organizations can work together to develop educational activities that extend beyond the classroom. The involvement of CEAL, the Ecobrigade, and the ICT workshops contributed to the organization and implementation of the event, fostering student participation in projects related to sustainability and community engagement.
Activities of this nature form part of the school’s commitment to environmental education, offering students opportunities to connect with practical actions that contribute to the development of responsible people.
