Honouring Literary Voices: A Tribute to the Masters of Literature

As part of the celebration of World Book Day, our school presents a special panel in the central hall, dedicated to some of the most influential voices in the history of literature.
This space brings together renowned authors from different cultures and time periods, including figures such as William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes, and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, alongside distinguished Chilean writers like Baldomero Lillo, Gabriela Mistral, and Hernán Rivera Letelier.
Through their works, these authors have shaped the way we understand stories, language, and human experience. From Shakespeare’s exploration of human nature, to Cervantes’ enduring vision in Don Quijote de la Mancha, and the cultural legacy preserved in the writings of Inca Garcilaso, each of these figures continues to inspire readers across generations.
In the Chilean context, authors such as Baldomero Lillo, Gabriela Mistral, and Hernán Rivera Letelier offer a powerful connection to our own identity, reflecting social realities, emotions, and narratives that remain deeply relevant today.
Once again, within the framework of the World Book Day celebrations, the English Immersion Program is present through initiatives that invite the community to engage with literature from a broader perspective, connecting language, culture, and reading in meaningful ways.
We would also like to acknowledge the valuable support of Martina Araya Valenzuela (2nd grade B, Senior Area) and Axel Carrasco Cid (2nd grade D, Senior Area), who collaborated with dedication in the installation of this panel, contributing to bringing this space to life.
We warmly invite our community to visit the central hall, explore this display, and reconnect with the voices that continue to shape literature and inspire new generations of readers.
