Growth-oriented cultural and academic journey in the United Kingdom

During January 2026, a group from 8th grade – 2nd grade senior students led by Miss Camila Moisan – English teacher at our school, embarked on an unforgettable cultural and academic trip to the United Kingdom, where they spent a full month studying at Loxdale English Centre in the vibrant coastal city of Brighton, England.
From the very beginning of the program, students were fully immersed in the English language. Upon arrival, each participant completed a placement test designed to assess their current level of English proficiency. This ensured that every student was placed in a class suited to their abilities, allowing them to make the most of their learning experience. After four weeks of intensive English lessons, students were evaluated once again and received certification reflecting the progress they had achieved during their stay.
One of the most enriching aspects of the trip was the complete linguistic and cultural immersion. Students lived with carefully selected host families, which gave them the opportunity to experience daily life in an English-speaking environment. This not only strengthened their language skills but also allowed them to build meaningful connections and gain first-hand insight into British culture and traditions.
In addition, students shared classrooms and activities with peers from various countries around the world, including Sweden, Honduras and Argentina. This international environment encouraged cultural exchange, broadened perspectives, and helped students develop confidence in communicating in English with people from diverse backgrounds.
Beyond the classroom, the program included exciting excursions to some of Europe’s most iconic and historically rich destinations. Students had the opportunity to explore the iconic city of Paris, discover the cultural heritage of Edinburgh, and visit the prestigious academic cities of Oxford, Cambridge and York. These trips complemented their studies by bringing history, art, and culture to life in a truly memorable way.
This experience not only enhanced students’ English proficiency but also fostered independence, adaptability, and global awareness. The month in Brighton was more than an academic program—it was a life-changing journey that will remain with our students for years to come.
Looking ahead, we warmly invite new students to take part in the next edition scheduled for January 2027. This is a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and experience the world in an immersive and meaningful way.
