Celebrating Music and Language Learning at the English Song Festival 2025

The English Department proudly hosted the English Song Festival 2025 Secondary Level, an artistic event that brought together talented students from 7th grade to 11th grade, who showcased their musical abilities through the performance of English songs. This festival not only highlighted vocal and instrumental talent, but also encouraged students to strengthen their language skills in a creative and meaningful way.
Throughout the event, our school community enjoyed an outstanding variety of performances:

• Matilde Melo, 2nd Grade C – “If I Ain’t Got You” – Alicia Keys
• Sofía Arancibia, 8th Grade B – “Spoken For” – Flavor Foley
• Amalia Llarlluri, 3rd Grade B – “Her ft. Annika Wells” – JVKE
This year’s festival featured a distinguished panel of judges who contributed their professional vision and expertise:
• Mr. Leonardo Matus Mella, guitarist and bassist with extensive experience performing at university festivals and school musical competitions.
• Mr. Benjamín Molina Peña, Colegio Concepción alumnus (Class of 2020), guitarist and bassist, former member of the School Band Workshop.
• Miss Valentina Oyarzo, English Teacher with five years of experience in school and higher education, passionate about music and language learning.
After an outstanding showcase of talent, the judges announced the winners of the General Category:
3rd Place: Máximo Chauriye, 7th Grade A
2nd Place: Fernando Cepeda, 2nd Grade A
1st Place: Matilde Melo, 2nd Grade C
