Colegio Concepción in 100 Words: A Legacy of Creativity and English Expression

In a heartfelt ceremony held at the school library, Colegio Concepción officially presented the book “Colegio Concepción in 100 Words”, a creative writing project that began in 2024 and has now become a lasting symbol of meaningful learning and student expression through English.
Developed by Mr. Marcos Riveros, Coordinator of the English Immersion Plan, and Ms. Camila Moisan, English teacher and co-author of the project, the initiative was made possible thanks to the support of the Parent and Guardians Council (CGPA) through its annual Innovation Grant Fund.
The book brings together the voices of students from 6th grade A and B (2024), who, at the end of their elementary journey, wrote short original stories in exactly 100 words, entirely in English. Each piece reflects their memories, creativity, and sense of belonging, leaving behind a “faraway letter” to their years in elementary school.
The official presentation was a warm and emotional moment, attended by Ms. María Patricia Jerez, Coordinator of the Technical and Pedagogical Unit, and Ms. Camila Moisan, head teacher of 6th grade A (2024), who both shared heartfelt words about the value of creativity and language learning in today’s world.
During the event, students proudly read aloud their stories, sharing laughter, emotion, and gratitude as they revisited the experiences that inspired their writing. Each student received a personal copy of the book, while additional copies were gifted to the school library as part of the project’s educational purpose — to serve as a genuine resource that celebrates English as a tool for communication and creativity. Copies were also distributed to all campuses of Colegio Concepción, as a joint contribution from the English Immersion Plan and the CGPA.
“This book represents much more than a writing exercise,” shared Mr. Riveros. “It’s a memory, a milestone, and a celebration of what our students have learned and who they are becoming.”
Through this initiative, Colegio Concepción reaffirms its commitment to creativity, reflection, and meaningful learning through English, reminding us that every story — even in just 100 words — has the power to inspire and leave a lasting impression.
