On Friday, August 29th, Colegio Concepción brought its English Week celebrations to a memorable conclusion with a Closing Ceremony held in the auditorium. Organised by the English Department in collaboration with the English Immersion Program, this special gathering united all English teachers, who attended with the classes they were teaching at the time, creating a great sense of togetherness to finish a week full of language, culture, and creativity.
English Week 2025 was packed with diverse and meaningful activities, ranging from board games sessions in the library to the exciting Spelling Bee competitions, both internal and external, with the participation of more than ten schools from the Concepción area. Students also enjoyed cultural exchanges, and the always inspiring English Song Festival, each activity reflecting the spirit of learning through communication, culture, and fun.
Highlights of the Ceremony
The Closing Ceremony celebrated this rich week of experiences with performances that showcased talent and dedication.
● Drama Workshop Play: The extracurricular drama workshop, guided by Ms. Valentina Toro, presented a play entirely in English, impressing the audience with creativity and expression.
● Musical Performance: The school band Eclécticos filled the auditorium with rhythm and energy, providing the perfect musical touch to close the week on a high note.
What made this event especially meaningful was the sense of unity it created: every English teacher present with their students, celebrating achievements and enjoying the closing performances together. The auditorium became a true meeting point for our English learning community.
English Week 2025 was more than just a series of activities, it was a celebration of how English can connect us through culture, creativity, and shared experiences.
