Colegio Concepción is thrilled to announce English Week 2025, a week-long celebration of language, culture, and creativity that will take place from Monday, August 25th to Friday, August 29th. This annual event, organised by the English Department in collaboration with the English Immersion Program, brings together students from across different levels to engage in fun, meaningful, and communicative experiences in English.
What’s Happening This Year?
The program for 2025 is filled with exciting activities that highlight both language learning and cultural exploration:
● Monday, August 25th – The week kicks off with Board Games in English at the library, led by English Immersion teachers and pre-service teachers. This playful activity will give students from 3rd grade elementary the chance to practise language in a relaxed and fun setting.
● Tuesday, August 26th – The fun continues with Board Games in English, alongside one of the highlights of the week: the Spelling Bee Competition, hosted by Colegio Concepción with the participation of more than ten schools from our city.
● Wednesday, August 27th – Another round of Board Games in English, plus the stage lights up with the English Song Festival, where students will share their musical talents through performances entirely in English.
● Thursday, August 28th – Board Games in English return for 6th graders, plus the Spelling Bee for 7th and 8th grade students. Later, we’ll enjoy a special Cultural Exchange with India at the Early Childhood Education building (Parvulario), celebrating global connections.
● Friday, August 29th – The week concludes with the Public Speaking Event, where Senior Year students will showcase their oratory skills. Finally, we’ll gather in the auditorium for the Closing Ceremony, featuring artistic and academic presentations from multiple grades.
English Week is much more than a calendar of events — it’s an opportunity for our students to use English as a living, communicative tool in diverse and meaningful contexts. By connecting music, games, spelling, storytelling, and cross-cultural experiences, the celebration reflects our commitment to language learning through culture, creativity, and participation.
We invite our entire school community to join us in celebrating English Week 2025 — a week full of learning, fun, and unforgettable experiences.
