The English Immersion Program, through its Book Club groups, has brought a new touch of inspiration to the school library with the installation of two educational panels guided by Mr. Marcos Riveros. The panels, inspired by our lively discussions about literature, display their curated ideas highlighting the richness and global influence of the English language and its literary heritage. The two beautiful installations are now proudly displayed at the school library.
The first panel, English Literature Through Time, invites us to travel across the centuries and meet some of the most important figures of British literature. From timeless classics to modern voices, this timeline celebrates the writers and works that have shaped not only literature in English, but also the way we understand the world. It is a journey through stories, characters, and ideas that continue to inspire readers everywhere.
The second panel, A Celebration of the English Language, is dedicated to the language itself—its fascinating origins, its expansion across the globe, and the way it influences cultures and communities today. You’ll also find interesting facts about its history, its role in communication, and the mark left by great authors like William Shakespeare. It’s a reminder that language is alive, dynamic, and deeply connected to our everyday lives.
This project is a perfect example of how the English Immersion Program brings language learning to life through culture and communication. By working together in English, our students explored literature and language in a way that was active, creative, and meaningful.
We warmly invite everyone in our school community to stop by the library, take a few minutes to enjoy the panels, and maybe even discover something new. Who knows? You might leave with a new favourite author, a curious fact about the English language, or simply a renewed appreciation for the power of words.
