In celebration of Family Month at Colegio Concepción, the English Immersion Plan organised a heartwarming monthly activity for the Early Childhood Education department. The activity, designed to engage students from Medio Mayor to 2nd Elementary, focused on fostering family connections and reflection through creativity.
The activity involved creating a personalised family photo album. Students decorated both the front and back covers with bright colors and creative designs, expressing their unique ideas about family. Inside the album, they wrote a heartfelt message reflecting on the importance of family, what their own family means to them, and how they define family in their lives.
Once the albums were completed, students took them home to add a personal touch—a family photo! This beautiful way of linking school and home allowed the activity to extend beyond the classroom, encouraging families to engage in a meaningful reflection together. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with their families, share what they had learned at school, and create a lasting keepsake.
This activity not only helped students reflect on the value of family but also empowered them to create their own definitions of what family means. It was a lovely, thoughtful way to celebrate the bonds we share with those closest to us.
