Colegio Concepción Students Represent School at 11th Inter-School Spelling Bee!

On Friday, May 30th, three outstanding students from Colegio Concepción proudly represented our school at the 11th Interescolar Spelling Bee, held at Universidad Andrés Bello, Concepción campus. This exciting event brought together students from different schools across the region to test their spelling skills in English and celebrate language learning through healthy competition.
The students who took on the challenge were:
● Ignacio Sebastián Ortiz Figueroa – 2° grade B High School level

● Sam Rojas Pereira – 2° grade C High School level

● Agustín Edgardo Aravena Varas – 1° grade B High School level

They were accompanied and supported by Mr. Marcos Riveros, from the English Immersion Program.
Throughout the morning, our students participated in Category A, which included 1st and 2nd grade high school students, and confidently demonstrated their spelling abilities in a competitive but friendly environment. The event served as an excellent opportunity to apply their English knowledge in a real-world setting and connect with peers who share similar interests in language learning.
We are proud of their commitment and the effort they put into preparing for this event. Participating in activities like the Spelling Bee not only strengthens vocabulary and pronunciation, but also builds self-confidence and fosters a sense of teamwork and school pride.
A huge thank-you to Universidad Andrés Bello for organising this meaningful event, and congratulations to our students for their participation. We look forward to more events where we can continue to showcase the talent and dedication of our English learners!
