On March 13th, in the auditorium of our school, we held a special assembly to warmly welcome the new classes at Colegio Concepción: 5th Grade C (Elementary Level), 7th Grade C, 8th Grade C, and 1st Grade D (High School Level). This event marked an exciting moment as we celebrated the arrival of these new classes into our school community.
We were honored to have the presence of our Headmaster Mr. Victor Viveros Vidal; the Coordinator of the Pedagogical Technical Unit, Ms. María Patricia Jerez Muñoz; and the Student Council President, Miss Amanda Bugmann Figueroa, who were there to support and welcome the students.
The assembly was further enriched by speeches from Mr. Víctor Viveros Vidal, and Miss Amanda Bugmann Figueroa. Both gave heartfelt words of welcome, encouraging the new students to make the most of their time at Colegio Concepción.
A highlight of the assembly was the musical interlude by our talented jazz band, composed of:
● Carlos Sepúlveda Ruiz – 4th Grade A
● Antonio Álvarez Águila – 4th Grade A
● Tomás Farfán Carrasco – 4th Grade A
● Santiago Álvarez Águila – 2nd Grade
The students performed an impressive improvised rendition of the song «Chameleon,» captivating everyone with their musical talent.
The assembly was led in both English and Spanish by Antonia González – 3rd Grade A and Eduarda Torres – 3rd Grade B.This bilingual approach not only ensured accessibility for all students but also highlighted the school’s strong commitment to English immersion. It reflected Colegio Concepción’s dedication to fostering meaningful, real-life engagement with the English language.
The event concluded with our school anthem, a beloved tradition that unites us as an educational community.
This assembly served as a wonderful opportunity to welcome our new students and to reaffirm our commitment to supporting them in their academic and personal growth throughout the school year. Welcome to our school family! We look forward to a year of success, learning, and new friendships!
