On the morning of December 3rd, the auditorium of Colegio Concepción came alive with music, laughter, and applause during the much-anticipated English Song Festival 2024. The event brought together students, teachers, and families for an evening dedicated to displaying musical talent and celebrating the English language through songs.
This year’s festival featured an incredible line-up of performances by students from 3rd to 6th grade. With a diverse repertoire that included pop hits, classic rock, and even Broadway favourites, the festival highlighted the creativity and dedication of the participants.
One of the standout performances was delivered by Mariana Encina Amigo, from 3rd grade A, who captivated the audience with her heartfelt rendition of “From the Start” by Frank Sinatra.
The winners of this event were Francisco Huepe Etcheberry from 4th grade A, with “This Love” by Maroon 5, and Máximo Chauriye Vásquez with “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley.
The English Song Festival 2024 proved once again that music and language are powerful tools for learning, creativity, and building connections. It was a morning to remember, and everyone is already looking forward to next year’s event!
