Colegio Concepción Students Shine in the Europa Kids Art Challenge

We are excited to announce that six of our 6th-grade students participated in the Europa Kids Art Challenge, an international contest organized by NASA. This creative initiative allowed students to explore the mysteries of Jupiter’s moon, Europa, through artwork inspired by NASA’s upcoming Europa Clipper mission.
The contest, part of NASA’s Space Place outreach program, provides young artists with the opportunity to engage with space science and use their imagination. The theme focused on Europa’s icy surface and the potential for life beneath it.
Our teachers from the English Immersion Program, Arts Department, and Science Department collaborated to guide and support our participants in this exciting opportunity. It was a wonderful chance for students to engage with the English language and culture in a unique way, while connecting with the global community through NASA’s mission.
A special congratulations to our talented young artists:
• Maite Jara
• Emilia Reyman
• Jose Manuel Araneda
• Maximiliano Benavente
• Isabel Ocares
• Santino Abarca
We are especially pleased to announce that Isabel Ocares’s artwork was selected by the NASA team and has been featured on the NASA Space Place website! Check it out here: https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/art-challenge/en/ or https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/art-challenge/sp/ Congratulations, Isabel!
