At Colegio Concepción, we believe in the power of stories to connect cultures, build empathy, and enhance language learning. Last Thursday, our youngest students, from Medio Mayor to Kindergarten, were immersed in a captivating multicultural storytelling experience, bringing the magic of classic tales and folklore from various corners of the world to life. In this unique activity, narratives from Hong Kong, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, and Chile were shared, each crafted to introduce children to the beauty of diverse cultures, all through the medium of English.
The storytelling session, led by an impressive lineup of narrators, included our own talented students, Mariana González, Antonia González, Mila Kassem, our teachers Ms. Catalina, Mr. Marcos and our special guest, Mia Kreca, enriched the experience with her international perspective. Each story was carefully chosen to highlight the unique values and traditions of its origin country, allowing our students to travel the world through words. Conducted entirely in English, the session fostered a natural and engaging environment for language immersion, where students not only learned about global cultures but also practised their English skills in an authentic context.
