Last Tuesday, November 29th, the Colegio Concepción auditorium was filled with excitement and enthusiasm as it hosted the Spelling Bee contest, an event that put the English spelling skills of our first- and second-year high school students to the test. This competition is not only a demonstration of knowledge but also an opportunity for students to build their confidence, improve their pronunciation, and expand their vocabulary in a foreign language.
A Competition of Skill and Talent
During the contest, participants showed a high level of preparation and skill, tackling words of various difficulty levels. The competition was intense and challenging, with each round increasing in complexity, requiring maximum focus and English proficiency. Students from both grades stood out, demonstrating their commitment and dedication to learning the language.
The contestants included students from different sections of first and second grade:

• 1ºM B: Ignacio Ortiz, Heidi Brito, Felipe Roa
• 1ºM C: Sam Rojas, Matilde Melo

An Educational and Motivational Event
The Spelling Bee is a tradition at Colegio Concepción, held each year to encourage English learning in a dynamic and enjoyable way. Through activities like this, we foster a spirit of self-improvement and the ability to compete in a healthy and respectful manner. Additionally, the contest helps strengthen teamwork, patience, and resilience in the face of challenges.
Congratulations to All Participants
We would like to congratulate all the students who participated in this edition of the Spelling Bee for their effort and courage.
