On August 27th, Colegio Concepción hosted a remarkable Spelling Bee competition, organized to commemorate the 70th anniversary of COEMCO. This special event brought together talented students from various schools, all-eager to showcase their spelling skills in a celebration of language, learning, and community spirit.
The competition welcomed participants from the following schools:

• Colegio San Ignacio

• Colegio Concepción Hualqui
• And our very own Colegio Concepción
The Spelling Bee was a thrilling display of knowledge and perseverance, as each student took the stage to tackle challenging words with confidence and poise. The event not only tested the students’ spelling abilities but also highlighted their dedication to academic excellence. The audience, filled with supportive peers and teachers, watched in admiration as the competitors spelled their way through each round.
This year’s competition held a special significance as it was part of the celebrations marking COEMCO’s seven decades of commitment to education. The event reflected the organization’s mission to foster intellectual growth and nurture talent among young learners.
While the competition was intense, it was also a joyful celebration of learning and achievement. Each participant left the stage with a sense of pride, having represented their schools admirably in this prestigious event.
The results were the following:
Category A: 1st place: Colegio Concepcion San Pedro, 2nd place: Colegio Santa Bernardita and 3rd place: Colegio Concepcion Fraternidad.
Category B: 1st place: Colegio Salesianos, 2nd place: Kingston College and 3rd place: Colegio Pacific School

Mrs. Blanca Aragon, Mrs. Rebeca Riesco, and Mrs. Ximena Alvarez, who returned to lend their expertise.
