Our school recently hosted an exhilarating Spelling Bee Contest, creating a buzz of excitement and showcasing the linguistic talents of our students. The event, held in the cosy ambiance of the school auditorium, it was divided into two parts: one for the 7th graders and another for the 8th graders.
Organised by Mrs.Figueroa and Mrs. González and hosted by dedicated Mr. Riveros, the contest was a delightful celebration of the English language. Students and teachers gathered to witness this fun and educational event.
Both 7th and 8th graders were involved in a fierce yet friendly competition. Their hard work and preparation were evident as they confidently spelled their way through increasingly challenging words. In the end, the winner for the 7th grade category was 7th grade A team:Sebastián Huepe,Fernanda Frindt,Juand Pablo Astete and Addy Monsalves.They impressed everyone with their spelling prowess.
Next, the 8th graders took the stage, bringing an equally high level of enthusiasm and skill. The atmosphere was electric as the contestants spelled word after word, striving for the top spot. The 8th grade category winner was 8th grade A team: Mariana Barrera , Maite Concha, Bruno González and Benjamín Saez who demonstrated remarkable accuracy and composure under pressure.
The panel of judges, led by Ms. Moisan included Mr. Muñoz. Their keen eyes and fair judgement ensured that the contest was both competitive and enjoyable.
The Spelling Bee was not just about winning; it was an opportunity for students to enjoy using the English language in a dynamic and supportive setting. The excitement and joy of the participants were palpable, making it a memorable experience for all involved.
