Our school once again hosted an exciting cooking workshop that brought students from 1st and 2nd elementary grades for a delightful culinary adventure! In this creative activity, young chefs embarked on a fun-filled journey of flavour and imagination as they transformed ordinary bananas and chocolate into adorable penguin treats.
Under the guidance of our “little chefs, a culinary adventure” teacher, students eagerly gathered around workstations equipped with fresh bananas and rich, melted chocolate. The task at hand? To turn these simple ingredients into charming banana penguins that would delight both the eyes and the taste buds!
With enthusiasm and precision, the students carefully halved their bananas, creating the body of their penguin masterpiece. Next came the exciting part: decorating! Using the melted chocolate, students skillfully adorned their banana halves, transforming them into cute penguin figures. The contrasting colours of the bananas and chocolate perfectly mimicked the iconic appearance of these beloved arctic birds.
As the workshop progressed, creativity flourished as students personalised their banana penguins with additional chocolate details, such as eyes, beaks, and flippers. Each creation was as unique as the young chef behind it, showcasing the endless possibilities for culinary expression.
