Our kindergarten educators recently had the privilege of participating in a specialised training session provided by Cambridge University Press. This training focused on leveraging innovative digital platforms to enhance English language learning in the classroom. Through this initiative, educators gained valuable insights into utilising interactive tools and resources designed specifically for young learners.
Led by Pilar Zarate, the training introduced educators to a cutting-edge digital platform tailored for kindergarten English language instruction. This platform revolutionises the traditional learning experience by seamlessly integrating physical textbooks with dynamic online resources. The Cambridge platform offers a rich array of features, including games, activities, and multimedia resources, all designed to engage young learners in their language journey. With both online and offline capabilities, educators can seamlessly incorporate these resources into their lessons, catering to diverse learning needs and preferences.
One of the key advantages of the platform is its ability to transform the classroom environment into an interactive and immersive space for language acquisition. While students engage with physical textbooks, educators utilise the digital counterpart of the same material, unlocking a wealth of interactive tools and gadgets to enrich the learning experience.
This transformative training took place on Tuesday, April 16th, in one of our school’s computer laboratory. Facilitated online with the assistance of Marcela Perez, IT Engineer of our school, educators were able to explore the platform’s functionalities and learn effective strategies for integrating technology into their English language lessons.
Benefits for Educators and Students:
By harnessing the power of technology, educators are equipped with innovative tools to facilitate language learning in a dynamic and engaging manner. Through interactive activities and multimedia resources, students are not only motivated to actively participate but also develop a deeper understanding and fluency in English as a second language.
The training session provided by Cambridge University Press, with the invaluable support of Marcela Perez marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing high-quality education for our kindergarten students. Empowered with new insights and tools, our educators are well-positioned to create vibrant and effective learning environments where every child can thrive and succeed in their language journey.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cambridge University Press for their partnership and expertise in advancing language education in our school community.
