Last Tuesday 12th The English Department and EF held a meeting in order to let the school community know about this new travelling adventure to Eastbourne, England.
Having international exchanges highly benefits the school community as a whole. School organizations, and extracurricular activities are strengthened by cultural perspectives which are gained during these programs, as students from around the world connect on shared interests and exchange ideas with peers from across the globe.
During the meeting held our students and their families had the chance to meet each other and share their thoughts and concerns towards this type of program, taking into consideration the importance and the benefits of this activity. Deepening your knowledge of foreign cultures and strengthening international relationships by using the target language rapidly improves your knowledge and fluency of the English language as well as when you experience a different culture through educational and cultural exchange you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and those around you.
This group of 18 students, from 8th to 11th students and one teacher Ms. Ivonne Loreto Figueroa Enriquez are leaving on August 1st and will stay in Eastbourne for a month having the opportunity of being immersed within the English Language and culture as well as getting acquainted with some new friends around the world».
