Lights, Stage, and English in Action: A Theatrical Journey Funded by the Parent Association

On October 22nd, the auditorium of Colegio Concepción became a stage full of laughter, energy, and creativity with the arrival of the Language Live Theatre Company, who performed three captivating plays — Pirate’s School, King Arthur: The Quest, and Frankenstein.
This event was part of an innovative educational project made possible through the 2025 Fondos Concursables of the Centro General de Padres y Apoderados, and organised by the English Immersion Plan.
The project’s goal was to promote the use of English through performing arts, offering students from Early Childhood Education to Secondary level a unique opportunity to experience the language in action. Each play was designed to engage different age groups, combining humour, adventure, and reflection while reinforcing vocabulary and expressions in meaningful, real contexts.
From the youngest learners joining the crew in Pirate’s School, to the courage and honour explored in King Arthur: The Quest, and the deep moral questions in Frankenstein, every performance turned the auditorium into a dynamic space for bilingual learning and creativity.
Thanks to the joint efforts of the Centro General de Padres and the English Immersion Plan, this initiative showcased how innovation, art, and language can come together to create authentic and memorable learning experiences. Students not only watched but actively participated in the plays, interacting with the actors and using English as a tool for expression, confidence, and connection.
We also want to extend our gratitude to the Language Live Theatre Company for their outstanding performances. You can follow their work and stay updated on their latest projects through their social media channels:
