The “Children of the World Painting the Peace Flag” project has come to a meaningful close at Colegio Concepción, leaving behind not just an artwork, but a powerful message of unity, creativity, and hope. Throughout this initiative, students from 3rd grade to Senior Years poured their ideas, feelings, and dreams into a collaborative flag, a piece of art that now forms part of a global symbol for peace.
From its very beginning, this project invited our students to reflect deeply on what peace means in today’s world and how they, as future global citizens, can contribute to building it. Guided by their teachers, they engaged in creative workshops, designed original paintings, and explored symbols and messages that represent respect, coexistence, and harmony. Each brushstroke carried intention and meaning, transforming individual contributions into a shared masterpiece that speaks a universal language: the language of peace.
The result of this collaborative effort is now part of an extraordinary journey. Our school’s peace flag, together with many others from around the globe, will travel internationally as part of the World Peace Flag, a collective work that will visit major cities, beginning with Rome in early 2026. Along the way, it will continue to inspire new creations and connect people from different countries, cultures, and realities.
Projects like this embody our school’s commitment to innovation and meaningful education, connecting art, global citizenship, and 21st-century values in a way that transcends the classroom. They remind us that education is not only about knowledge but also about building bridges between people and cultures.
We invite you to watch the special video that celebrates this journey, highlighting the reflections, creativity, and enthusiasm of our students, and to join us in celebrating a message that travels far beyond our walls: peace is possible when we create it together.
